Service Opportunities

Each candidate is required to complete 20 hours of service. Below is a list of opportunities available through the Cathedral community to complete service hours. If a candidate wishes to complete all 20 hours at one location, it must be approved by the Youth Minster first. You may complete your hours through opportunities that are not on this list. If you are unsure if they qualify, please ask first. Other opportunities will arise throughout the year; this list is just a starting point.

“The life of the Christian should be marked by the attitude of a servant, in imitation of Christ (John 13), and the actuality of service to the community.” – The Seal of the Spirit

It is suggested that candidates try to complete service hours during the summer, before schedules become busy with school and extracurricular activities. A great opportunity to earn all your hours is Service Learning Camp this summer, August 1-5.

Please record your hours and obtain signatures on your Service Log. Service Log and Service Reflection are due to Siobhan Cooney by April 28, 2017 in the Youth Ministry Office.
