Learn about the Cathedral
Anywhere you sit in the Cathedral, you can see at least one of the beautiful 46 sculpted panels that span the side aisles. These panels mirror the themes and saints shown in the nearby stained glass windows, and there is a definite design to their ordering. Four distinguished sculptors. Theodore Barbarossa, Joseph Coletti and Ernest Morenon (all of Boston), and Jean de Marco of New York, sculpted the panels here as the walls were going up. Trained docents are available after the Sunday Masses to give a short tour of our beautiful Cathedral. Stay for 20 minutes after Mass and learn more about the rich symbolism of our Cathedral’s design.
