Inclement Weather Policy
The Parish office follows the Baltimore City Public School system. Notices will be posted on our website homepage, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and via Monsignor Woy’s Message for the Week email when activities are altered or cancelled due to inclement weather. Please be sure to follow us there to receive the most updated information!
If the Baltimore City school system opening is delayed: The 7am weekday Mass is cancelled but 8:15am and 5:30pm Mass will be celebrated. The Parish Office will be open with a flexible arrival time and the evening activities will go on as scheduled. Please call the office before visiting in the early morning.
If the Baltimore City School system is closed: All Masses will be cancelled and all activities scheduled in the Cathedral and parish center will be cancelled. The Parish Office will operate on a liberal leave policy so please call before visiting.
If Baltimore City schools dismiss early: All evening activities scheduled in the Cathedral and Parish Center will be cancelled. The Office staff will operate on a liberal departure time so please call ahead before visiting in the afternoon.
On Weekends: Mass will be celebrated as scheduled unless the Archbishop of Baltimore grants a general dispensation from the Sunday obligation. Visit the Parish website or call the Parish Office to confirm whether Masses are being celebrated.
There is no obligation to attend Mass when weather causes dangerous road conditions. Please exercise prudent judgment and do not take unnecessary risks given your individual situation.
