How the Cathedral Technology Committee Works

The committee conducted extensive focus group sessions in 2001-2002 to determine how to best implement information and communication technology (ICT) at CMOQ. This led to the development of a campus-wide technology plan. This plan was the basis for development of the technology requirements for the new parish center, school, rectory and campus.

Since the development of that plan the technology committee has been responsible for:

• Development and implementation of ICT network infrastructure
• Computer and telecommunication hardware platforms
• Enterprise software applications (Parish Soft, QuickBooks, Power School. Etc.)
• Network security, acceptable use policies, audit of ICT operations
• Assessment and update of ICT infrastructure, applications, etc.
• Website development for parish, school and web assistance to core ministries
• ICT RFP development, and project management
