Church Leadership Institute

The Archdiocese of Baltimore is committed to assisting Catholic Adults in identifying and developing their talents and gifts to enhance the mission and ministries of the church.

The Church Leadership Institute is a formation process comprised of three levels of course work and interaction with a companion. It is designed for parishioners who are already active in ministries and seek to be more informed as well as parishioners in whom you see leadership potential. Individuals considering the CLI process are encouraged to seek the support of their pastor, pastoral life director, or member of the parish staff.

It offers each participant the following:

• Deepening of personal faith in Jesus and commitment to the Church
• Receiving a thorough knowledge and understanding of Scripture and Catholic teaching
• Development of sound pastoral judgement and sensitivity in relating with people
• Fostering a spirit and outlook that enables people to collaborate effectively with clergy, religious and laity in carrying out the Mission of the Church
• Enhancement of skills in a particular area of ministry

Classes for the Spring Session of the Church Leadership Institute start the week of March 15th.
