CMOQ Music Ministry:
The Cathedral Choir

As the Cathedral Choir continues its ministry of song and leadership, we invite you to consider participating in this rewarding and accomplished ensemble. The Cathedral Choir is a semi-professional choir that enhances the Liturgical Life of the Cathedral Parish, primarily providing leadership for the 11:00am Solemn Liturgy on Sunday.

Cathedral Choir

The Cathedral Choir also sings for all Feast Day Liturgies and other Festive Celebrations throughout the year.

This choir is also featured on the Cathedral Music Series, performing major sacred choral works, as well as singing the Festival of Lessons and Carols for Christmas, and Solemn Vespers as scheduled times throughout the year.

If you are interested in joining the Cathedral Choir, please contact Dan Sansone, Director of Music or call 410-464-4020 to arrange an audition.

Choir members must have the ability to read music and possess basic musical skills. The time commitment is approximately 5 hours per week.

The skill level of choir members varies, from musical amateur to professional singer, but all are committed to our ultimate purpose of raising our voices to God. Rehearsals are Thursday nights from 7 – 9 PM.

There are openings for new singers in each vocal section – soprano, alto, tenor and bass – and new talent is always welcome!

As St. Augustine famously said, "those who sing pray twice." We hope you’ll consider joining your voice with ours and contributing to our faithful ministry!
