Sunday School of Religion
Grades K-8
Evangelization & Catechesis
The parish Sunday School of Religion provides Religious Education for children who do not attend a Catholic school. We offer Kindergarten through the 8th grade.
Students meet Sundays after the 9:15 a.m. Mass from September to May. We prefer to have two classes per grade and two teachers in each class. Children play an integral part in liturgy and sacrament.
We are currently using the Silver Burdett Ginn Religion program Blest are We. This program teaches:
- “What Catholics Believe”
- “How Catholics Worship”
- “How Catholics Live”
- “How Catholics Pray”
Our mission is to provide a friendly and open learning atmosphere for children, parents, and catechists. We...
- Proclaim the story of the loving relationship between God and human kind.
- Teach the important truths of the Catholic faith and relate these truths to daily life.
- Develop an understanding of what it means to be a member of a faith community.
- Develop an understanding of prayer and worship.
- Motivate children to serve others as Christ has taught.
All Staff and Volunteers working with minors are required to be STAND trained. |
