School of Religion
Grades K-8
Students meet Sundays,
after the 9:15 a.m. Mass, from September to May.
The parish Sunday School of Religion ministers
to youngsters attending public and private schools where the Catholic
faith is not taught. The parish Sunday School of Religion is fortunate
to be staffed by dedicated catechists who volunteer their time and
talents to bring the knowledge of God to our parish children.
Goals:
- proclaim the story of the loving relationship between God and
human kind
- teach the important truths of the Catholic faith and relate these
truths to daily life
- develop an understanding of what it means to be a member of a
faith community
- develop an understanding of prayer and worship
- motivate children to serve others as Christ has taught
