The Anointing of the Sick "is not a sacrament for those only who are at the point of death. Hence, as soon as anyone of the faithful begins to be in danger of death from sickness or old age, the fitting time for him to receive this sacrament has certainly already arrived." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, para. #1531).
Each time a Christian falls seriously ill, he may receive the Anointing of the Sick, and also when, after he has received it, the illness worsens (Catechism of the Catholic Church, para. #1529).

Mass for the Sick
On the fourth Friday of every month, the Monthly Mass for the Sick is offered at 5:30 pm. Blank "petition slips," on which congregants list the names of the sick, are available at the entrance to the Chapel at 5 pm. The completed "petition slips" are brought to the celebrant at the Offertory and placed on the altar. Note: There is NO anointing of the sick at this Mass.
