Music in the Wedding

Couples should contact the Cathedral Office of Music Ministry, by email or calling 410-464-4042, to begin planning the music for the wedding liturgy.

Couples usually meet with the the Cathedral Director of Music Ministry, Mr. Daniel Sansone, to discuss options and finalize plans several months prior to the wedding date.

Keeping in mind the sacred nature of the liturgy, some musical selections are not appropriate for use in church. All musical selections and musicians must be approved by the Director of Music Ministry.

Fees for musicians are in addition to the fee for the Church. The Director of Music Ministry will discuss fees for the organist and the cantor/vocal soloist. Please note that the Director of Music Ministry's contract specifies that his fee must be paid even if a couple chooses to use an outside organist.

Fees should be paid one month prior to the wedding date.
