Come and spend time in prayer and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament!
Daily
We have an Adoration Chapel (pictured on left) in the Cathedral Parish Center, which is open during office hours. The sign-in sheet is in the Register of Visitors outside the chapel. When you enter the chapel, please reverence the Blessed Sacrament by genuflecting. If no one is in the chapel, the "aperture" covering the Blessed Sacrament will be closed. When you arrive, open it by the two gold knobs to expose the Blessed Sacrament in the glass of the tabernacle door. When you leave, if there is no one else in the chapel, please close the "aperture" to cover the Blessed Sacrament.
First Friday Adoration
In the Cathedral
November through April in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel;
October and May in the Lady Chapel;
Closed June, July, August, and September.
Sign-up sheets are available all month outside the chapel for those who can spend time with Our Lord in Exposition.
A minimum of two volunteers is needed in the Chapel at all times throughout the day while the Blessed Sacrament is in Exposition. If you can be a Eucharistic Visitor for one (or more) of the 9am-5pm half-hour slots, please print your name and telephone number on the sign-up sheet at the entrance to the Chapel. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Healthcare Ministers are especially encouraged to sign up.
Note: The Adoration Chapel in the Cathedral Parish Center is closed 9am-6pm during the First Friday Devotions in the Cathedral.
