Merit badge procedure:

  1. Select merit badge from BSA list.
  2. Review requirements by either obtaining the merit badge book from the Troop 1000 Library, a Public Library, the BSA Merit Badge Requirements website, or from Scout Headquarters on Wyman Avenue.
  3. Obtain BLUE CARD from Advancement Chairman, Merit Badge Counselor or Scoutmaster.
  4. Contact Merit Badge Counselor and complete personal and counselor information.
  5. Have Scoutmaster, ASM or Advancement Chairman sign and date front of card BEFORE STARTING .
  6. Meet with counselor and complete requirements. When complete have Counselor sign inside of BLUE CARD.
  7. Meet with Scoutmaster to sign inside of BLUE CARD.
  8. Meet with Advancement Chairman for advancement documentation.

Keep your copy of blue card! (All blue cards are required for Eagle Scout rank.)
