St. Gregory's Casserole Program

"Just think, if ten people made a casserole for ten people, we could feed 100 people a month, and 1,200 people a year! I am a big believer in ant power - if everyone can help out a little it makes a big difference." ~ Byrd Wood, Ministry Chair

Once a week, St. Gregory's Church in west Baltimore offers a free lunch to those in need of a hot meal.

Do you cook for your family? Once a month, make double and help feed the poor. This is a great family volunteer opportunity! Want to volunteer, but have no time for meetings, minutes, and mailings? The St. Gregory's Casserole Program is for you!

How can you help?
Once a month, prepare and freeze a casserole for 10 people. Drop the casserole off at 319 Taplow Road in Homeland before the first Monday of the month. There is a freezer just for the casseroles, so you can drop your casserole off anytime that is convenient for you. Call ahead to 410-433-4507 to make sure someone is home.
Jack Wood brings the casseroles from the Cathedral to St. Gregory's on the first Monday of each month.

You don't have to be a gourmet cook, and we'll even provide you with some recipes (open this link to print the recipes). Please include meat, vegetables and starch in your casseroles. Pasta or rice casseroles with ground beef and chopped vegetables are ideal.
