"Fear not...nothing is impossible with God." (Luke 1)

Be an Angel! The Gabriel Project matches "Angel friends" with pregnant women who need support.

The Gabriel Project is...

An interfaith support network of Christian churches working together with pregnancy centers and other community resources to provide practical, emotional, and spiritual assistance to pregnant women and their unborn children.

A unique program of ongoing personal support and friendship. Each woman and child receives an "Angel Friend" who is assigned to help throughout the pregnancy and even beyond, if needed.

A loving, life-giving alternative to abortion. We embrace the dignity of both mother and child, accepting each woman for who she is, without condemnation or judgment. Every woman was first a child. We love them both.

A transitional housing program for homeless pregnant women. Our structured program provides opportunities for women to grow spiritually while preparing them for the privilege of motherhood.

A friend...for life! When women are alone and pregnant, and need a little help getting through, we provide a friend who cares.

In addition to offering friendship and direct support to pregnant women through Christian churches in their own communities, the Gabriel Project also operates three transitional group-living homes and supports numerous private Shepherding Family Homes, where pregnant women  receive guided support in a structured environment to help them prepare for challenges not just in pregnancy, but in life!

Angel friends provide material assistance such as maternity clothes and baby items, transportation to doctor's appointments, Christian mentoring and guidance, access to pastoral care, opportunities to participate in educational programs, referrals for private and government resources, baby-sitting assistance and church-sponsored social activities.

Volunteer Commitment:
The commitment is flexible. Some women need more support than others. Each volunteer is paired with a buddy, so one person is not solely responsible for meeting the needs of the mother-to-be.

When Volunteers Can Join:
Volunteers can join anytime.

Volunteer Profile/Special Skills:
Volunteers should be compassionate, non-judgmental, and genuinely interested in helping other people. Volunteers must have the ability to seek community resources and provide emotional support.
