How to Make Masks
COVID-19 Mask Making Instructions
The pattern for the masks is very simple. The preferred fabric for the mask is 100 percent cotton or a cotton/polyester blend that is at least 70 percent cotton. Each mask requires two pieces of fabric to help the user identify which is the outside and which is the inside of the mask. The mask is held in place by straps. Elastic straps are preferred, however, bias tape or the fabric can be used to make the straps.
Here is anto show you the pattern for making the masks. One parishioner shared her wisdom when making the masks to use slightly greater measurements -- 7” x 10” for the fabric, and 8" for the elastic.
Once you have masks ready for delivery, please contact Chris McCullough at [email protected] to arrange for pick up or delivery. If you are willing to sew, but don’t have, cannot get out to get, or cannot afford fabric, arrangements can be made to get donated fabric to you. Just let Chris know.
