Fritz Bauerschmidt

Deacon Fritz was raised in South Carolina, studied theology at Yale Divinity School and Duke University, and has lived in Baltimore since 1994, teaching Theology at Loyola University Maryland. He was ordained to the diaconate in 2007 and served at Corpus Christi Church in Bolton Hill prior to being assigned to the Cathedral in 2019. He is married to Maureen Sweeney, who teaches at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, and they have three adult children.
